The Geneva Motor Show has provided us with a number of debuts, one of which was the 2010 VW Sharan, Volkswagen’s first proper reworking of its full size people carrier in half a generation. VW started out the launch for the 2010 Sharan with a little visual tease last month, but we get most of the detail with the reveal of the new Sharan at Geneva this week.
Barricehllo, Brawn and Button celebrate the Brawn Success
The Brazilian Grand Prix was chaotic even before the lights went out to start the race. Qualifying was a nightmare with a constant deluge of rain soaking the track and Button seemed to have lost all chance of a win when he started 14th, with team mate – and chief rival for the championship – Barrichello on pole. The race saw Barichello suffer a puncture; Trulli and Sutil almost coming to blows after a coming together that also pitched Alonso out; Raikkonen lost his front wing and suffered a puncture and Kovalainen left the pits with his fuel hose attached, which sprayed fuel on Raikkonen and set fire to his car.

Bentley has now finished producing cars of the pre-VW era. The last of the old-school Bentleys have now rolled off the production line and we now have a clean sweep of modern-day Bentleys. The Continental GT has spawned umpteen variants – including the Continental Supersports Convertible which is also here at Geneva – but the real focus at Geneva is on the replacement for the venerable Arnage.
